Who is DRTuned Racing?
Hi, my name’s Daniel, and I run everything you see here at DRTuned Racing!
What surprises a lot of people, is to learn that DRTuned Racing isn’t a “team” or a corporate group of people. It’s just me, I do it all. The tuning, emails, marketing, web design, and all the ongoing development.
I’ve been tuning Mazda’s, and exclusively MZR and Skyactiv engines, for the last 10 years now. This brand, and the Mazda community, is far more than just a fun side hobby for me; this is my livelihood, and has been for the last several years.
I hope that you’ll allow me to join you on this journey with your Mazda, and add your story to the hundreds of other incredible Mazda owners I’ve worked with over the last 10 years.
So what’s my story?
I’m an enthusiast at heart, just like yourself. I got started with RallyX racing when I was just 17, inspired by Ken Block’s Gymkhana 2, years prior. Working with a group of fantastic sponsors, I continued in rally for a few years before transitioning into Time Attack, where most of our sponsors stayed on, and several more joined, in order to create a truly unique build with a Saab 9-5.
It was during this same time while in university I became interested in tuning with my 2008 Mazda 3. I was fortunate to be surrounded by an awesome group of like-minded Mazda owners who supported my journey to learn how to tune, and allowed me to develop my skills on their own Mazda’s.
And just like that first group of friends, I’m still really not alone today, I’m supported by hundreds of customers, friends, and family in our constant journey to develop and maintain the enthusiast spirit in the Mazda community.
Their effort is shown in this brand just as much as my own.
